The Church and the Vet

February 18, 2025 by Kathi Holcomb

The people who came in were there for a common reason although they all looked different coming from different places and different families. They didn’t know each other. Their commonality was noticeable as they all asked about each other and shared an unspoken understanding of life. Their focus was on each other and how much […]

It is Certain!

May 11, 2023 by Kathi Holcomb

God did not leave Moses without direction or power when He sent him to carry out an impossible task. God gave Moses instructions and information about what would happen as Moses faced a powerful man in a powerful position. The calling on Moses’ life was not without danger, but God had promised something to Moses […]

Specks and Logs and the Annoyance of Chewing

February 13, 2023 by Kathi Holcomb

The silence in the car was welcomed, except that it magnified the other sounds that were not as desirable but annoying and unpleasant. My first instinct was to strongly suggest that the noise be kept down, but the kinder voice gently reminded me in my head that the noise maker was not intentionally annoying. He […]

Spiritual Vitality is Based on What We Eat

February 7, 2023 by Kathi Holcomb

I bet you did not know this, but we, as believers, have something available to us that is life-changing. We can’t live without it, although many neglect it. We can’t become the person we desire to be and can be unless we eat it, although many are starving for it. We can’t know our true […]

Homeless

December 1, 2022 by Kathi Holcomb

Food for Thought

August 10, 2022 by Kathi Holcomb

I think that my thoughts have too much power. I often wonder why. Our thoughts are so much a part of us, who we are. I agree with the adage that as a man thinks, so is he. If you think about it, what one eats determines how one feels and looks. Food can impact […]

Meet Kathi

Hello there! I am so happy you stopped by! Let me introduce myself so you can know me better. My name is Kathi Holcomb and I am the proud wife of Barry Holcomb, grateful mom to Nathan and Abigail, and mom-in-law to my precious daughter in love, Ludmila. Of course, I am also Nana to Claire, my first and only granddaughter.
Barry and I met while completing an internship at Auburn University together and the rest is history. Our friendship remains as we celebrate over 30 years of marriage.

1 Corinthians 2:12-13

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God; so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.”
